5/5 ★ – lupincentral's review of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach.

I have always enjoyed Hideo Kojima's games since first playing MGS1 on the Playstation when I was nine years old. IMO, Death Stranding 2 is his best yet. I spent 76 hours trekking across Mexico and Australia, and not once did I get tired of it. The game feel, gameplay loop, and environmental detail is all stunning. The story is much better than the first game, taking itself less seriously. I also felt a stronger connection to the main cast - travelling around with a rag tag bunch of superpower wielding misfits made a huge difference - by the end I loved them all. This was a special game to me. It's rare I play a game for 70 odd hours and never get bored and feel sad that it ends. Even those I really enjoy, I often feel a bit of a drag during those 70 hours. Not with this, though. What a game. 10/10, PS5 Pro
