4/5 ★ – mPlay's review of Metroid Dread.

It’s a classic Metroidvania (feels strange using that term for the franchise that coined it 😅) that doesn’t seek to reinvent the genre, but instead master the mechanics, level design and boss fights. As my first introduction to the Metroid franchise, you can be damn sure that I’ll be sticking around for future instalments!
