4.5/5 ★ – mannishboy69's review of Nobody Saves the World.

An endlessly charming cross between Hades and classic Zelda, as filtered through the Cartoon Network. Any criticisms I have are largely trivial (the lack of checkpoints in dungeons can be an annoyance in the early going when you're under-levelled, there are intermittent difficulty spikes that can prove frustrating) but the game's qualities are many and varied. I love the art style, I love that you're incentivized to tinker with different character builds by making that experimentation key to levelling up, and I love the sense of humour that runs through every facet of the game. The story is slight but with games like this, it's the journey that counts. The story is just a means to an end.
