4/5 ★ – mattbrookbank's review of PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo.
Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo is an interesting spooky themed puzzle/visual novel game with some interesting mechanics.
You play as a handful of characters, jumping around between them on a timeline that lasts 2 nights and 1 day in Honjo Japan. Someone has triggered an ancient curse called "The Feast of Shadows", and now some people are becoming curse bearers. Curse bearers receive a small totem and if they survive they can cast the "Rite of Resurrection" and bring someone back from the dead! One problem though, if you're a curse bearer, you're also a target of the other curse bearers! Better use your totems powers to try and survive!
The 15.2 hours I spent in the game were fun, although it's a little hard for something that I interact with by reading to be very spooky to me. Also, I felt it didn't use some of the totem powers enough. A police detective having the ability to tell if someone is lying using his totem is awesome! It's sadly only used early in the game though.
