4/5 ★ – megas's review of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout.

FIRST PLAYED: AUGUST 4TH 2020 FIRST CROWN: AUGUST 8TH 2020 HAVE I REACHED LEVEL 40 YET?: OCTOBER 5TH 2020 Fall Guys, a recently released Battle Royale that bursted into the scene takes the whole over saturated BR genre and flips it on its head. Rather than the usual matches where you are required to fight for your life in a slowly limited arena, fall guys itself treats it as a mish-mash of the shows like Wipeout & my utter nostalgia for old school obbys from Roblox back in the day with its insane obstacle course runs that 60 players must traverse through. With the current 25 different areas you'll be able to play ranging from puzzles, team based, or obstacles course runs. Speaking of runs, let me start off by saying at least it’s way more accessible than Warzone’s well over 200GBs and how it takes a single percent of the storage space for this game. It’s also certainly one to stand out with its colorful visuals which at times can be quite obnoxious. For the video settings themselves they are what you’d normally expect (bonus points for disabling motion blur on startup). Each of the games on here are listed as such in these specific categories, Logic, Team, Race, Survival, and Final which obviously is the final round. The skill gap for it is quite shallow and should be easy to pick up for practically anyone regardless of their skill in gaming. Things like physics where you would be pushed by others willy-nilly is certainly frustrating, but at the end of it all when you finally make it the last round. It’ll all be certainly worth it all. I only have won once so far, but don’t let that diminish my opinion on it. From the minigames like Racing games and perfect match being pretty mindless onto what you’re given to do as simple as follow the task or go to point a to point b and those that leave you screaming bullshit like tip toe, and the tail games especially when that comes to last few seconds, dare i say Fruit Chute and how i shat myself over it. The team games themselves require at the most some attention to both yourself and your teammates and if say for an example you got no defense plans on soccer or the egg basket game, you’re screwed. Now for the final games, unless you’re playing one of these games here *show all of the final round games and grey out the impossible ones* if you’re going to do one of these games here you’ll certainly have a chance on this. With this however, the one i grayed out, you can kiss that win goodbye because theres not a single chance you can fairly win that unless you got the remaining players chasing after you for that common goal you have along with them. If you’re already planning on getting this game I’d say to check it out, but it’d be much better to play it with friends as it only makes the experience ten times better
