4/5 ★ – mikeymovieman's review of Cyberpunk 2077.

Ah yes, after almost five years of this game coming out and playing 7 hours of it and giving up, I finally went back to give the game another shot. Hearing that the game underwent significant updates and changes to address its bugginess helped pique my interest in the game again. I was a huge fan of The Witcher 3 back in 2015, so for years I was very excited for this game. The state it launched in was very unfortunate because under all of those bugs from the original launch of the game lay a pretty fun and compelling story. While I do think Witcher has a better story, the writing in this game is also pretty well done. Gameplay felt good, I did the Katana Reflex Body build, which is the most popular, and I can see why. Deflecting bullets with a Katana back to the enemy is so satisfying, there are however still some bugs in this game, mainly through the open world driving (NPC drivers will randomly colide into other drivers still which I won't lie is pretty funny) but besides from the occasional driving bugs it seems like this game is in a much better state then it was from 2020. Also no I did not play the DLC Phantom Liberty but will one day go back and play through it. The game does have multiple endings, and the ending I got I thought was pretty good and honestly felt like the ending that the creators wanted the player to go with in my opinion. Also, based on what I know of the other endings without spoilers, the ending I got was the happiest and hopeful. This game is the living proof of letting developers take their time with a game, and why I am such a big believer in if a game needs a delay to help the experience and give the creators more time do it. While not one of the greatest games I have ever played if this game had launched in the current state is in rather than how it launched in 2020, more people would be singing it's praises. This is also my first written review on here, I have been playing games since I was a kid and watched my relatives play Halo and Super Smash Bros. I have been hooked ever since then. I want to start writing reviews of games on here more often. After beating Cyberpunk, I am onto Persona 5, another game I started playing years ago when it came out, but didn't get super far into it.... as in 20 hours, which is barely that far into the game in Persona length.
