Finally finished this after years, and while this is by no means a great game, the fact that this somehow has better writing than every single mainline Pokemon game is embarrassing, there’s at least a weak narrative and point past “beat the game” which every mainline game leans on. Gameplay wise, while its fun to manage positioning and such in dungeons, the game is either too hard without Revive Seeds (you can just get insta killed without a way to stop it) or gets too easy with them. I love Pokémon but frankly the places where this game shines makes the mainline games feel somehow even more lazy.
