moonscented's review of Fallout 4.

**FALLOUT: LONDON** listen I think it’s really cool that a mod project of this size has gotten so much praise and attention. It’s very inspired, has a lot of great ideas, and is clearly made with intense love for fallout. but calling this an 8 or 9 out of 10 is insane to me. Most quests are so over filled with pointless objectives and rooms full of enemy NPCs. Some quests are so clearly untested and brought the entire experience to a halt. Generally, it’s just way too big for its own good. It was advertised as a “DLC sized mod”, and I’ve just barely finished it at nearly 30 hours, with a few side quests done. That’s just way too long for an experience like this, and really soured my feelings on the project as a whole. I get it! It’s exciting that a team of modders put this together, but I think people got way too carried away with its praise. Feels like people played the first 5 hours and ran online to sing about it. Factions especially are so underdeveloped and underwritten. I have no idea what any of the motives are for any faction. Camelot are knight cosplayers, that’s the extent of what I know about them, and I allied with them for the campaign. A very special fuck you to the Tommy dungeon quest, made the entire project significantly worse and needs to be removed from the project as a whole. I took away some good, but I mostly took away bad. I hope this team gets to make their own indie game one day, I think they have some great chops and could make something great.
