Over the past 20 days, I’ve been playing Yakuza: Black Panther on the PSP using an English fan translation. As a fan of the franchise, I was really impressed — the game is a hidden gem, featuring an excellent story and a protagonist, Ukyo Tatsuya, who grows significantly throughout the narrative. With dynamic MMA-style combat, diverse fighting styles, and challenging bosses, it turned out to be one of the best surprises of the year. A solid, standalone spin-off that I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys the series or Japanese culture.
