3.5/5 ★ – omegaoxide's review of Borderlands: Claptrap's New Robot Revolution.

Claptrap’s Robot Revolution - 7/10 Gameplay: You fight through a pandora claptrapified. All the enemies have been redesigned with a brain attachment that mind controls them to work for claptrap and his other buddies. Very standard gameplay using all of the new additions from all the dlc, besides the zombies. Difficulty: Very very easy. The only challenging part is getting all the claptrap parts to drop for the grand collection side quest. All the actual new claptrap models that attack you are very fragile and die as easily as the zombies from zeds island. Some have beefer weapons that can take you out from a distance which makes them 10 times better than the zombies automatically. Level Design: Dumps filled to the brim with claptraps forces. There is secrets all over the place as well with platforming being utilized which I think is the neatest part of this whole package. Atmosphere: It’s a mixture of a trash, spare parts, and monster hives. The derelict abandoned factories give a bit of a spooker feeling with the lack of free thinking humans. Story: Hyperion installed a data chip in the claptrap unit that first greeted you at the start of the game. They were hoping that it would kill you and they could take all the loot, but the claptrap rallied all the other claptrap units to take down Hyperion and by proxy humanity as well. (Personal Summary) Best Parts: It’s really cheesy and you get to refight some bosses who have comedic responses being resurrected. Claptrap as a whole is the franchises mascot and this dlc definitely put him in the sights of marketing teams. Worst Parts: It’s not the most interesting esthetically. And very quick to finish. Quest markers seems to be the most broken in the dlc as if the games code is being stretched to its limit. Final Thoughts: Cannon or not I like this dlc with all its different revolution jokes. And put claptrap in more of a character role rather than being a load speaker for quest board updates. 7/10 - a good book end to borderlands.
