3.5/5 ★ – omegaoxide's review of Borderlands: The Secret Armory of General Knoxx.

Secret Armory of General Knoxx - 7/10 Gameplay: Drive down the line disrupting as much of Atlas’ remaining forces on pandora. In your journey back and forth on this highway you meet a whole new set of enemies that are upgraded variants of the base games Atlas forces. Difficulty: Not too difficult. You’ll more than likely be killed by crashing your car, blowing up with your car, or getting beamed by other cars. Level Design: Drive to outposts and clear out the outposts. It is very linear but also asks you to go from one end of the map and back so you meet the same locations repeatedly. Atmosphere: Cars and corporate armies not a ton of verity but adds more locations to spice up the overall game. Story: Athena is a sick female assassin that has been raised to be one after being taken from her family at a young age. She seeks revenge on Atlas for tricker her into killing her sister for wanted to retire. She hires you to go and taken General Knoxx out and kick the corporation of planet, all with a promise of an entire armies worth of loot to take after taking him out. (Personal Summary) Best Parts: The story quality has been upgraded a ton since the launch of the game and the two DLCs beforehand. This feels like pseudo borderlands 2 story telling and I’m all for it since I love that games story. Worst Parts: The driving and lack of fast travel really show its ugly head here. The map is a pain to travel through even with the fastest car making this one of the DLCs that I love to only think back on than play. Final Thoughts: Athena is a very interesting character that has been utilized on many story beats such as Tales from the Borderlands as a side character and in the Pre-sequel as a playable character. This is the peak of the DLCs in this game and is probably the one that ups the games quality a ton along with the dlc that followed it. 7/10 - Best farm in the game thanks to a very easy glitch good job Gearbox.
