2/5 ★ – omegaoxide's review of Borderlands: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned.
Zeds Zombie Island - 4/10
Gameplay:
Zombies are everywhere and they die in a few shots. Enemy verity is somehow worse than even the base game.
Difficulty:
Absurdly easy since the enemies die so easily I don’t think I even needed to respawn. Ammo is literally the only thing that could kill you since it’s so low and easy to burn through in this game.
Level Design:
Linear shooting paths to utilize maximum havoc on the zombie hordes
Atmosphere:
Dark and lonely woods all of the place like a twisted version of Eden 6 from borderlands 3. Not great set pieces or anything else in the way of completing this simple not even worth $5 of a dlc.
Story:
Zed is a doctor who is trying to cure a zombie outbreak on Jacob’s woodcutting grounds. He has tried to find a cure for quite some time but mysteriously it always creates a new type of infection.
(Personal Summary)
Best Parts:
You get to kill lots of zombies.
Worst Parts:
Bland, short, and brain dead like your enemies. If this was the other games it would be a cheap side story pack that is exclusively locked to farming by the community.
Final Thoughts:
It’s a dlc and is somehow not the worst of the bunch. I like what it offers but I don’t think I will ever go out of my way to play it for years to come.
