2/5 ★ – oneandonlyjosh's review of Detroit: Become Human.

Upon replaying this game, I’ve come to discover many plot holes and stupid story design choices that hindered my enjoyment. David cage is a hack. He writes woman like shit and sucks ass at keeping a consistent level of focus. In fact I think this is the only game ever made by him that doesn’t feature woman in a scenario where the only option of success is to sex someone or in an unnecessary shower scene. The whole android child reveal is fuckinf stupid. Imagine how much more interesting it’d be if it was an android taking care of a human not because they’re told to, but out of a bond formed between them. The whole “all androids must stick together” thing was already done with Markus’s storyline. Having a human child harboured in Jericho would’ve been a much more interesting scenario. Conner and hank are the only good parts of the game and that’s only because Bryan dechart and Clancy brown would constantly improvise lines. David cage was not happy. The game doesn’t explore enough. When Markus converts people to deviants, is consent involved? With this power to convert, wouldn’t it have been easier to just simply convert Conner instead of convincing him? It’s a fun game it’s just so stupid. Thank you David cage!
