4/5 ★ – onestub's review of My Friendly Neighborhood.

Despite not being the target audience, it was a surprisingly fun game and I couldn't figure out why until I read another review that called it the kids version of resident evil. Perfect description. The exploration to find keys, the inventory management, the slow combat, the save system, everything was classic RE. For a horror game it wasn't scary whatsoever, but then again I'm not the demographic they were aiming for. I still had a great time though. I'm not the biggest fan of respawning enemies, but they give you plenty of ammo if you look for it (at least on normal) and you can avoid all the enemies well enough. The voice acting was great and the lines were creative. I just sat around and listened to them ramble earlier on because they were hilarious. The lines are pretty repetitive though so that didn't last long. The puzzles were decent and I really liked that the ammo was letters of the alphabet lol. Good game overall.
