4/5 ★ – puru's review of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.

This game was a great sequel to the third game, marking the final adventure for our fan favourite Nathan Drake as he goes on a hunt for the lengedary pirate Henry Avery's treasure on an island. it had great visuals, good continuation with the storyline along with the return of the funny jokes and had some more serious tones in some parts of the game. the puzzles were mad fun and the signature of this franchise, the action set pieces were (chef's kiss). Honestly a constant action, pack a punch game always keeping you on the edge of your seat while at the same time letting you explore more about the treasure and Avery's history. storywise, it explores more on Nate's childhood, from how he originally didn't have Drake as his last name and how he always had a knack for history as a whole because of his mother and the introduction to his brother who made him have a drive for acquiring these lost treasures. The Good they've emphasized on the stealth mechanics in this installment, which was not very prominent in the video games when the characters would literally tell you to be quiet but you literally can't because there are no suitable mechanics for it other than the cover and melee button and an absolute precision on where the enemy would be or their patrol path and resulting in a gun fight no matter the approach. But in this game, they've improved it significantly, adding the alert marks, marking enemies to keep track of where they are, and some areas where you can stay hidden and undetected by the enemy. the enemies have improved, coming around to flank you instead of staying at one cover and shooting you from there, the devs seem to have incorporated this from the last of us 1, i think and it's a pretty good thing if i have to be honest, adds a bit more challenge the call backs to the previous 3 games with the items and treasures lying around in his cupboard/attic the crash bandicoot minigame, my guy didn't know how to hold a controller properly LMAO The Bad i didn't have much issues with this game but the way the enemies would have accurate aim constantly made the gunfights bit more tougher than usual, never really experienced this when playing the original trilogy but it did cause me to die a lot in some instances. the climbing looked a bit weird to me considering how nathan would wierdly reach out his arm and it looks like he becomes mr fantastic for a second, kinda unnerving imo. Final Verdict: Great game, great Sequel 9/10
