3/5 ★ – quartzs's review of Art of Fighting 3: The Path of The Warrior.

how do i start reviews? The animation is gorgeous, this is one of SNK's best looking fighting games, even to this day. The gameplay is solid enough, though everything feels slow and a little clunky, combos are done similarly like Real Bout Fatal Fury, however there's one button for punch and kick while the C button is just, an attack, and the D button is the taunt button, i know it serves as more than taunting but why can't it be just two strength levels of punch and kick? The music is great (especially Robert's theme, go listen to it). This game is challenging, perhaps a bit too challenging, but it's a SNK fighting game what do you expect. One last thing, the roster is tiny, with only 10 characters (including boss characters), keep in mind, Art of Fighting 2 which released 3 years prior had 15 characters, only 2 from that game return to this one (Ryo and Robert). Not one of SNK's best fighting games, but not their worst.
