4/5 ★ – ren_'s review of The Last of Us Part II.

8/10 - 22 Hours - Replay Everything up leading to the end of Ellie and Seattle was genuinely perfect in every way for me (even story) the abrupt switch to abby, could’ve been handled better, it throws off the pacing, and thats something this game really is bad with, and my biggest gripe, i don’t like the whole cinema climax thing, worst part of the game imo (from both perspectives). This is a replay (i played it back in 2021 on PS5 now i replayed the remastered on PC, it feels made for mouse and keyboard), i liked abby a bit more on the replay for sure, the story still has its deep problems. The gameplay, exploration (im a loot nerd), music and graphics are all perfect to me, i already liked the first one’s gameplay, theres not much difference imo, but thats fine with me. The music itself is a whole star. Otherwise, i enjoyed almost everything, the story is just eh to me, and had wasted potential, theres some good moments in there but really bad ones too. I really liked the ending, and that scene with Joel (broke my heart) is just beautiful, the story struggles alot in the middle and that sadly soured it a lot for me.
