It is very rare for me to choose to rage quit a game, but here it is. I fucking LOATHE this game. I have heard many RE fans’ opinions so I knew this was a terrible game but I actually didn’t expect it to be so FRUSTRATING. And I only tried playing The Experiment, I wasn’t even looking to play online (not that I could even if I paid PS Plus, who the fuck plays this?)! I managed to survive for 10 missions (with a ton of retries, of course), but mission 11, called Singularity, simply killed all of the very little fun I was having. I will admit to being a shitty action game player, but the other action-oriented titles of the franchise at least gave you a chance - in this fucking level, you are attacked by ganados, dogs, crows and a plaga who spawns randomly and is fast as fuck (making him nearly invincible), and they WILL attack you all at once! All while you need to stay in the same place for 10 endless seconds. This game was not designed for the average player, and it was also not designed for RE fans. RE6 is a masterpiece in comparison to this. It is highly repetitive, and it is very difficult - you can’t grab heals and keep them for later, they act in the moment whether you need them or not. The “retry?” screen takes forever to show up, as if they were proud to show the often buggy crappy animation they added for your stupid death, and even what should be a pause screen keeps the game going, allowing enemies to hurt you even if you need it to stop for a sec. But hey at least no one was constantly shooting at me (this is the half star I’m giving it). I hate quitting like this, I thought it would be stupid but not this hard. At least I payed 2 dollars for it, no big loss of money.
