2.5/5 ★ – sirvalkyerie's review of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.
Let's take The Division and Tarkov, mix most of the worst bits, and then fill it with a really, really long campaign and call it Ghost Recon!
I don't understand how the same company that makes The Division decided to make a competitor to itself. I also don't know why they felt it was needed. I also don't know why they made this a Ghost Recon title. This could've been generic Shooter #7 and that alone likely would've made it better received. A bunch of weird choices.
The game itself isn't that bad, it's just kinda...unnecessary? It doesn't do anything new or novel, it doesn't do anything interesting or innovative, it doesn't do anything that doesn't exist in a better form in other games. No wonder it died so quickly into its live service life. As a single-player experience with the Ghost Mode Immersion settings it's an okay but forgettable game. Worth maybe a few hours if you're very bored on PS+ since it's free there now.
It's not the worst game ever. It's not even as dismal as something like Anthem. But it isn't good either.
