4/5 ★ – spacemanchuck's review of Mafia: Definitive Edition.

6 Hours In: - Insane attention to detail. The world is incredibly gorgeous, character models/animation looks stellar and is honestly one of the best looking games I have ever seen. - Gunplay is lacking and clunky; something very familiar to the Mafia series and it’s a disappointment this one didn’t fix it. If I’m not mistaken — even III’s gunplay at least felt better? - Great story, dialogue, voice acting, and characters so far. It is very apparent Hangar 13 wants to take their narrative seriously and this comes across the whole time. This feels like a very polished game in terms of narrative and the dialogue is much better than most video games. The cutscenes are incredibly well directed and do a great job at driving the narrative forward; something many open world games tend to lack.
