3.5/5 ★ – summercomet's review of Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!.
My first full length pokemon game since I was never to finish one at all (closest I got was getting 3 towns into pokemon black). I really enjoyed this and the excellent and intuitive battle mechanics. The towns in Kanto all have their own unique and full feeling to be inside and exploring the region was an absolute blast. As always, I hate the exclusivity of these pokemon and wished this was not the case but the exclusive batch that are presented in Pikachu were incredibly fun to play around with (no gengar though so L).
The simple yet effective catching mechanics were great for the most part since they're just brought over from its mobile counterpart. Even though I didn't use it, I found the GO functionality incredible cool and useful but was too lazy to transfer some high level pokemon over. This game is a great starter for those who are new to the series and is incredibly fun. However, I do recommend those to go play the previous ones after because they do so much more in those games that's built from the core mechanics. Great and enjoyable experience and I would highly recommend to those who are indecisive about whether to get into the series.
