Much alike TTYD this game has a much more serious story and tone than the first title, evil aliens have arrived to the Mushroom Kingdom in the past and are messing stuff up yo, sucking the very life force out of toads to power their ships and distorting the entire kingdom and making it much alike the planet they came from. Also yeah, time travel! In this game you control the Mario brothers simular to the first game (A for Maro and B for Loogi) but with the addition of 2 new buttons and 2 "new" characters for each button, these being baby Mario and Luigi This game does not use the DS' special features too much, apart from the 2 new face buttons and small uses of the second screen as a map this game could easily be on a home console (which is why I hope it gets a remake for switch) At the end of the day, this is the second best Mario and Luigi title on the DS
