Where to start with this game........... first of I’ll start with the bugs. For me the bugs weren’t *too* bad but they were enough to distract and detract from the experience. My biggest issue was the performance. Frame rates was extremely choppy and textures when driving very often wouldn’t load in. Overall it feels like a house of cards that’s gonna fall at any time. Now in terms of gameplay it’s pretty mixed. The AI is straight up dogshit in this game and makes any kinda enemy variety just blend into each other. The police system is laughable at BEST. It’s simply unacceptable a 2020 AAA game launched with a police system like this. Now on the other hand shooting actually feels good and shooting is pretty fun and the game provides a ton of meaningful variety to do what you want. Overall I’d say the gameplay could be great if it weren’t held back by shitty AI. The world isn’t as interactive as I would like as it feels a little static and scripted and doesn’t feel as dynamic or living as games like red dead redemption ll. BUT they do an excellent job at actually building this world through each district and the quests within. Now the absolute crowning achievement of this game is the story and side quests. The narrative is simply incredible from beginning to end and if you do the side quests is one of the most satisfying stories in games I’ve ever played. The side quests are no contest the best out of any game I’ve ever played they are magnificent at bringing up a multitude of subjects in mature, layered, and subtle ways. Also the characters are all magnificent including V they all feel so well realized in fairly little time and it’s crazy how engaging almost every character is. Also the endings are no joke the best out of any RPG I’ve played and are a top 5 game endings of all time. They are all so resonate and powerful and really hone in a sense of finality for each one while also having a fair bit of ambiguity. Also the art style is simply magnificent and kept me glued to the screen even with the game looking like a potato wrapped in sandpaper. Right now it’s a 7-8/10 for all the bugs shitty AI and missing features. Just on story this could be a 10/10 and once the updates come it could be a 10/10 but as of now 7-8 is where it stands.
