4/5 ★ – zachtrimble's review of Cyberpunk 2077.
A really good open world game if you like the type of game this is. This is definitely not the game-changing, mind-exploding game that a lot of people were hoping for, but it’s a great world with fantastic characters, great music, and fun secrets.
The side quests here are excellent, for sure the main attraction of the show. Had a blast exploiting the districts of the city and seeing what weird shit CDPR cooked up in terms of quests, and that’s really what I was hoping for in this game.
Of course the bugs/ glitches were present in my play through, but for the most part they were not only intrusive until the last 10 or so hours of my 75 hour play through. A lot of sequencing errors in important scenes, audio not syncing, and others were some of the more annoying ones.
The main quest is pretty good, absolutely carried by Johnny Silverhand’s character. Happy to say Keanu brings a fantastic character to life that never has a dull moment attached to him. The main missions I kinda found to feel disjointed and surprisingly narratively focused. I liked a lot of it but when I compare it to the side content, I would
Have liked to seen more variety in the missions.
Overall, a good game. Not incredible to be completely honest, even without considering the performance issues, but worth to play at least once through.
