5/5 ★ – zhoont's review of Dead by Daylight: Demise of the Faithful Chapter.

Now this is a killer worth trying! The Plague, as she's called, is the tallest killer with the most unique abilities I've used and two of the most useful perks out there. Her vile purge of vomit can infect interactables like generators or pallets to infect survivors, as well as just directly spitting on them. Her vomiting is easy to control and understand even on console and falls in a really satisfying way, exhibiting a lot of range, too. Once you infect a survivor they will eventually (or more quickly if you apply a lot of vomit) become injured and will be unable to heal. Also, when survivors are injured they will vomit and cry out often, making them easier to track. You can also guess where they may be depending on which generators you've infected recently. The caveat is that they can cure this sickness by interacting with some fountains scattered across the map. Once they do this, you can now interact with those fountains to unlock 60 seconds of corrupt purge, which now damages survivors one health state when you vomit on them. Because of the plague's insane range and spread you can down all 4 survivors if they're grouped together or failing to respect your swag emetic skills. One of the other great things about buying the plague is that she has corrupt intervention, a perk that blocks 3 generators at the start furthest from her for 120 seconds (lvl3). This can really help to slow down survivors progress and get you involved early without wasting time wandering and searching, especially because the plague is weak because she is so tall and visible from afar. A neat trick is that you can also vomit on the available generators nearby at the start and begin to quickly stack and track survivor with infection. The other perk, infectious fright, will cause any survivors within your terror radius to scream and reveal themselves with an indicator whenever you down someone. This is great for when you have corrupt purge as you can string multiple, sometimes 4 downs in just seconds if you have infected survivors or they are otherwise injured. Both these perks are also excellent for other killers, most of which have lackluster perks once you get to higher killer ranks. Highly recommend giving this killer a try!
